Suspicious Replay Has Detroit Lions Fans Claim NFL Is ‘Rigged’ After Green Bay Packers Catch Massive Break

In a questionable comeback, Detroit Lions fans claim they were “cheated” by the NFL after the Green Bay Packers made a big splash.

Detroit Lions fans claim the NFL cheated them after a questionable call was made in the fourth quarter replay of their game against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers avenged an earlier loss this season with a 29-22 win over the Lions on Thanksgiving. The win was huge as it allowed the Packers to advance to the playoffs in December. The Lions are currently 8-3 and still in first place in the NFC North. However, a loss would hurt their chances of earning a top seed in the NFC playoffs.

The Packers had a couple of interceptions in the win. One call in particular infuriated Lions fans. Lions quarterback Jared Goff was knocked to the ground by what appeared to be a horse collar. No fines were imposed.

Goff may have been injured during the game. And for a league that goes out of its way to make its intentions known about banning hip-drop tackles, it doesn’t appear to have taken any steps to ensure player safety when it comes to illegal plays. Below is a replay of the incident that upset the Lions.
