Alex Highsmith fined for a hit on QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the Steelers’ loss to the Browns.
Alex Highsmith and Patrick Peterson remain injury free in this valuable NFL season.
They were penalized in a Week 11 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Highsmith was awarded $16,391 for hitting Peterson with Cleveland Browns rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson and $10,000 for unnecessary roughness.
In the third quarter, Highsmith was penalized for targeting Thompson-Robinson, who was initially flagged as questionable. Had the flag not come, Cleveland would have been in the game. Instead, they made another mistake that didn’t last long when cornerback Chandon Sullivan took a DTR. Peterson’s penalty came from a masking penalty assisted by Jerome Ford.
Pittsburgh was fined a total of $384,183 through the first 10 games of the season, mostly for wearing helmets without permits. Alex HighSmith was fined over $16,000 last week. Patrick Peterson was fined over $10,000 for unnecessary roughness.
