Bears DB Kyler Gordon penalized for terrible taunting penalty on “Monday Night Football”

It was a boring first trimester. However, Monday Night Football between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears will be even more interesting — if only because the two are NFC North division rivals — and Chicago cornerback Jaylon Johnson made sure of that with 11:43 remaining. should go in the second trimester. On 2nd and 12 from the Minnesota 35, Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs was sacrificed by Johnson’s interception. Johnson stepped up and headed the football up to create a nice play from deep. It was a 20-yard interception by Johnson, and hypothetically, this play would have given the Bears great field position at the Minnesota 37.

The only problem? Quarterback Kyler Gordon was penalized 15 yards for one of the weirdest mocking penalties you’ll ever see.

What was Gordon supposed to do at that point? Sure, you could argue that he should be fine with removing his helmet when he returns to the field, but can you call that teasing in 2023?

Looks like the Boring League is back.
