JUST-IN: Browns Urged to Sign super talented Pro Bowl WR Following Amari Cooper Injuryy

The Cleveland Browns need to add depth to their passing game, and former New York Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay has emerged as a potential late-season asset to an AFC North contender.

The Giants fired Golladay in March after two ineffective seasons in New York. After signing a four-year, $72 million contract, the former Pro Bowl pass rusher managed just 43 catches for 602 yards in 26 games with the Giants.

Golladay made a few preseason starts but did not play with the team this year. The 2019 receptions leader was named by Bleacher Report as a potential addition for the Browns to keep an eye on.

“If the Browns have any offensive success out of the backfield, it will be because of the supporting cast around Thompson-Robinson,” Bleacher Report wrote. “The starters have good qualities, but they only have to be as good as the players around them. The Browns are currently struggling at receiver, and the healthy players other than Amari Cooper are relatively young. “Outside options are limited, but Kenny Golladay has a 1,000-yard season on his resume. He had a huge run with the New York Giants, but at least for now, he’s a player worth working out for.

Golladay could give Thompson-Robinson or Joe Flacco some experienced hands, and his 6-foot-4 frame would be solid in the red zone. He scored 22 touchdowns, including 11 during the 2019 season.

Browns WR Amari Cooper is recovering from a rib injury

With Cooper out of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos with a rib injury, the Browns’ receiving depth is critical right now. While trying to make the catch, Broncos safety P.J. He takes a big hit from Locke and is soon taken to the locker room.

Fortunately, postgame X-rays came back negative and the Browns hope he won’t miss his chance anytime soon. He is said to be taking it “one day at a time” as it is difficult for him due to his injury. History shows that Cooper will do whatever it takes to not miss at some point. He suffered injuries last season and had to undergo major surgery in the offseason.

Cooper has been the Browns’ biggest threat this season. He has 749 yards on 45 catches this season. The Browns were able to secure rookie quarterback Cedric Tillman against the Broncos, and the rookie third-round pick caught four passes for a career-high 55 yards. The Browns aren’t sure who will start at quarterback.

The Browns are also dealing with injuries at the quarterback position. Deshaun Watson is out for the rest of the season and Thompson-Robinson left Sunday’s game with a concussion in the third quarter. He is currently in the concussion protocol and is questionable against the Los Angeles Rams.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said protocols will be in place before deciding who will be the starter. If DTR can’t go, it would be between Flacco and PJ Walker.

Flacco was signed on Nov. 20 but was inactive against the Broncos. Flacco passed for 42,320 yards, 232 touchdowns and 147 interceptions. He recently competed with the New York Jets. Walker had his chance as the Browns’ starting quarterback this season, but failed to make an impact. Turnovers were also an issue as he threw five interceptions to one interception.
