JUST-IN: Cleveland browns recieves unexpected good news
Star pass rusher Myles Garrett received a positive injury update and is expected to play against the Rams.
Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett has been given the final word on his left shoulder injury, coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed Monday.
Stefanski announced Monday that tests on Garrett showed no structural damage to his shoulder, mitigating the risk of serious injury. So there is optimism that Garrett will be available for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
The injury occurred during Sunday’s 29-12 loss to the Denver Broncos, with Garrett expressing discomfort after being hit on the shoulder during the play. Despite leaving the locker room with his arm in a sling, Garrett was determined to contribute to the team’s success.
Garrett said of his resilience: “I went through things early on that should have alienated me. “I will continue to fight and do my best for the team and for myself,” he said of the team’s ambitions this season. “Nothing can stop us, nothing can stop me. I’ll find a way to respond. I’ll see.”
A vital part of the Browns’ defense, Garrett currently ranks second in the league with 13 sacks. After the loss to Denver, the Browns traveled to Los Angeles on Sunday night to quickly prepare for their upcoming game against the Rams. With the news of Garrett’s injury, the team can head into the upcoming game with confidence in maintaining its defensive talent.
