In what could be a turning point for the 2023 NFL season, former Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce made an interesting social media post about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. “Flying Eagles fly,” model and Instagram influencer Kayla Nicole wrote on her X page in response to Hurts’ play during Monday’s 76ers-Lakers game in Philadelphia.
The night before, Hurts earned his MVP bid with a comeback win over the Buffalo Bills in Philadelphia. Unsurprisingly, he received a standing ovation Monday at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia.
And as many, including Nicole, noted, the 25-year-old defender looked quite cute on the right wing. Nicole added in a separate message: “You guys have eyes too.”
Of course, Nicole’s ex-boyfriend’s team, the Chiefs, recently lost to the Hertz Eagles after beating Philadelphia in the Super Bowl in February. So the potential relationship between Nicole and Hurts further intensifies the rivalry, especially with Kelce’s ongoing romance with Philadelphia native Taylor Swift.
Unfortunately, as Nicole soon found out, the Herts weren’t on the market. ‘Jalen has a black queen! Calm down,” one person replied, referring to Hurts’ girlfriend, Bryonna “Bry” Rivera Burroughs.
The two dated from 2016 to 2018 after meeting at the University of Alabama. Hurts transferred to Oklahoma in 2019, the same year the Eagles selected him in the second round of the NFL Draft.
Another netizen wrote: “That guy is in a relationship.” Leave him alone.
“I doubt she means she really likes that guy.” Another added:
He can see but he can’t touch… He is in a relationship with a black woman. We can’t break up that happy family,” another commenter wrote. Kelsey and Nicole dated for a few years before breaking up in 2022.
Hurts’ Eagles are now 10-1 and Kelce’s Chiefs are 8-3, making a Super Bowl rematch a distinct possibility.
