Panthers’ bold move to secure two Tigers players in swap deal for star player

The Bulldogs met with Jarome Luai and his management on Wednesday, but Wests Tigers remain the favorites to sign the Panthers star… but with a twist. The Panthers’ bold move to secure two Tigers players in a swap deal for Jarome Luai Jarome Luai has met with Bulldogs GM Phil Gould as he weighs up multi-million dollar contract offers.

Before considering any deal for 2024, it is believed that the Panthers want two of the Tigers’ best players, a veteran prop and a boom rookie.

Sources have told Wide Universe of Sports that assuming the Tigers consent to trade Luai for previous Test prop David Klemmer and youthful halfback sensation Lachlan Galvin, the arrangement should be possible right away.

Although Luai has a contract with the Panthers through the end of the following season, the Tigers may be willing to let the two players go because they are so desperate for a big-name signing.

Klemmer was perfect for the Tigers this year while Galvin is viewed as the following huge thing, having been named player of the competition at the Public School children Cup in September.

On Wednesday, Luai and his manager, Warwick Wright, met with Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo and manager Phil Gould.

However, it was more of a “courtesy call” than anything else, according to a source close to the negotiations.

“The Canines need Luai however the Tigers have more cash to toss at him,” the source said.

“And I wouldn’t be surprised if they met with the Bulldogs just to get the Tigers a little bit more money.

“Word is that they will let Luai go now if Penrith get Klemmer and Galvin, who is going to be a sensation in a couple of years.”

With the club undergoing an internal review in which several prominent officials are fighting for their jobs, the Tigers are eager for a coup on the signing front.
