Steelers LB T.J. Watt talks about the league’s bias against him.
In Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, the Pittsburgh Steelers had linebacker T.J. Watt left the game with an injury late in the game. The injury was a direct result of Watt being caught in a rush that was not called by the officials. It became common to catch Watt with an opposing foul without a penalty, and it was clear after the game that Watt had had enough of the incident.
“I don’t want to talk bad about the NFL because they have a disadvantage against me,” Watt said. “I don’t know what I did, but I’ll leave it at that.”
Even such mild remarks could result in a fine from the NFL. That doesn’t change the fact that the referee allowed Watt to be dominated by his opponents throughout the game and did so without fear of a flag being thrown. Fortunately, Watt’s injury on Sunday is not considered serious and he should be ready to play Thursday night.
