Leafs make puzzling decision that isn’t sitting well with fans

Leafs make puzzling roster decisions that don’t sit well with fans Maple Leafs return to action Saturday as Predators bring former Leafs Ryan O’Reilly and Luke Schenn back to Toronto for first time since signing with Nashville was picked up as a free agent last summer.

There’s a lot at stake in this game as the Leafs look to catch up with the Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, and Boston Bruins who are currently above them in the Atlantic Division standings.
.
After Thursday’s win over Ottawa, the Leafs are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games.
The Predators are currently on a three-game winning streak and are looking to make it four in a row in Toronto.
The Pres are 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.
There’s a lot at stake in this game, and Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe appears to have made some very questionable lineup decisions, causing confusion among many Leafs affiliates.

Keefe chose Ryan Reaves over the younger and faster Bobby McMann, who actually rejoined the Marlies last night (at least on paper).
Reaves took to the ice for an extra goal against the Senators on Thursday, playing just over seven minutes.
Sheldon Keefe’s general tendency is to use Reaves in just the second period, sit him out for almost the entire third period, and sub in players like William Nylander and Calle Jarnrok in close games.
Thing.
If Keefe has no intention of actually playing for Reaves, and furthermore, if Reaves no longer has the legs or defensive skills to play the full 60 minutes, why is he in the lineup?
He certainly wasn’t interested in defending his teammates.
It’s certainly a very puzzling decision on Keefe’s part.
