Colorado State Coach’s Wife Belittles Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders in Deleted Tweet

In a now-deleted tweet about a post-game interaction following the Rocky Mountain Showdown on Sept. 16, Colorado State coach Jay Norvell’s wife disparaged Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. In the tweet, Norvell took a careless swipe at Sanders.

Kim Norvell, Norvell’s wife, wrote a tweet on Wednesday night criticizing Shedeur Sanders for an alleged gesture he made to the Colorado State coach following the Buffaloes’ 43-35 overtime victory. She was responding on social media to a brand-new clip from the documentary series Coach Prime on Amazon Prime Video, which featured Jay Norvell’s heated postgame conversation with Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders.

Kim Norvell wrote, “Shadeur [sic] acted like a B when Jay turned his back to his dad, and held up his watch,” in reference to the alleged act of Shedeur.

The tweet has since been erased.

After Colorado’s victory, the newly released clip shows Deion Sanders interacting with Jay Norvell. In an effort to clarify Sanders’ earlier viral quote, Norvell told him, “Congratulations… I was never talking about your family.” “Oh, you were talking about my mama, dog,” Sanders replied.

When Jay Norvell criticized Deion Sanders’s appearance a few days before the game, he caused a stir. “When I talk to adults, I take off my hat and my glasses,” Norvell stated. That is the thing my mom instructed me.”

Shedeur stated, “You gotta be a fool to do that,” on ESPN’s First Take. You got his child playing quarterback, his other child playing security. You’re asking for it, come on. That’s what it is: additional motivation.

Fans may be eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the Rocky Mountain saga due to Kim Norvell’s fiery tweet and the ongoing Coach Prime documentary series.

Colorado will play Colorado State in Post Collins on Sept. 14, 2024.
