Wolff: FIA ‘crossed line’ in ‘ATTACK’ on family

When the FIA began an investigation into him and his wife Susie Wolff last week for allegedly exchanging confidential information, Toto Wolff claims that a “red line” was crossed.

The FIA’s investigation began quickly and was concluded without finding any misconduct.

One of Formula 1’s most prominent and successful female figures is Susie, who has held the position of chief executive of the F1 Academy since March of this year.

However, it would appear that the family is extremely enraged by the “attack” and continues to vigorously defend themselves.

Wolff: It’s different when you attack my family. “Out of nowhere, an absurd accusation was born. It was an individual assault wherein the red line was crossed,” he told German outlet Bild.

“I am not surprised that I have developed a tough skin as a team leader after 10 years of leading teams. However, this tale was shocking.

“I can handle it because I have broad shoulders, so getting caught in the crossfire is not a problem for me at all. In any case, when you assault my family, it’s an alternate level.”

At the FIA prize gala this past weekend, seven-time champion and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton also jumped to defend the Wolff family, expressing his disappointment with the allegations.

“It is disappointing that the FIA has questioned Susie Wolff’s integrity—one of the most incredible female leaders our sport has ever had—without hearing or evidence. Then, at that point, saying ‘sorry’ Situations like this are unacceptable.
