Lewis Hamilton threatened by George Russell as Mercedes F1 rivalry heats up

As the Mercedes-Mercedes F1 rivalry heats up, Lewis Hamilton is threatened by George Russell. Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have largely played nice in their two years as Mercedes teammates. However, the younger Brit has made it clear that he wants to unseat the seven-time world champion. George Russell has made it clear that he will not be satisfied until he has usurped Lewis Hamilton as Mercedes’ top dog.

In their first season as teammates, Russell beat his British teammate. What’s more, he got Mercedes’ just success of that 2022 mission by beating the seven-time title holder to the checkered banner in Brazil.

But among the Mercedes racers this year, Hamilton was by far the most successful. Regardless of being burdened with a sensitive W14 vehicle which didn’t come out on top in a race the entire year, the 38-year-old was beaten exclusively by his two Red Bull rivals in the drivers’ title.

Interestingly, Russell experienced a sophomore rut and oversaw just eighth spot, 64 focuses behind his accomplice. Shockingly, however, he is quick to concede that he was not at his best.

Also, he intends to put any misinformation to rest next term. In addition to the fact that he needs to do his fair share inside the group, however the 25-year-old has made it clear he can not rest until he has established his place as Mercedes’ fundamental man.

“Presumably it’s been most likely the hardest season I’ve at any point had, mentally,” Russell told correspondents. ” Returning from botched open doors, missed results, botches. I think this is the point at which you propel yourself.

“I could serenely take my foot off the gas pedal and drive one percent underneath the breaking point and I could stay here this moment and let you know that I wouldn’t commit a solitary error. Additionally, I probably wasn’t being pushed as much as I am now when I sit through my championship years.

“I’m not content with just being on par with my teammate in qualifying or whatever it may be. I’m purposely trying to push myself further and beyond.” Or on the other hand last year [when] we were exceptionally even across the entire season. I need to be ahead. Furthermore, that is the thing I’m propelling myself for.

“Furthermore, maybe that has been a little justification behind adding to a couple more mix-ups. In any case, I think you think back on seasons like this and you develop. I’m grateful it’s anything but a season where we’re battling for a title triumph. Additionally, I am certain that the following season will be very different. because I am aware of the kind of driver I am.

“I am aware that a year like this will not diminish any of my previous consistent or championship-winning seasons. I know it won’t take much to get back into that good rhythm.
