OFFICIAL: Steelers makes decision on Mike Tomlin contract extension this offseason

According to Report , the Steelers are considering signing Mike Tomlin to a contract extension this offseason.

Mike Tomlin can continue coaching the Pittsburgh Steelers if he chooses.
According to NBC Sports, the Steelers want to extend Tomlin’s contract despite rumors of a possible split.
Tomlin’s current contract expires after the 2024 season.

The Steelers reportedly want to keep Tomlin, but Tomlin hasn’t given the team any indication that he plans to leave his position anytime soon.
But that may not stop teams from reaching out to the Steelers about a potential trade involving the longtime Pittsburgh Steelers coach.

Tomlin, 51, is in the midst of his 17th season with the Steelers.
He is the second-longest serving head coach in the NFL behind Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
Tomlin’s honors as coach of the Steelers include one Super Bowl championship, two Super Bowl appearances, seven district championships and 10 playoff appearances.

His 16 consecutive undefeated seasons are the most by a first-time head coach in NFL history.
So far, the 2023 season hasn’t been Tomlin’s best season.
Pittsburgh started 7-4, but has lost three straight games, including back-to-back games against teams that are 2-10, and is now 7-7.

In addition to the recent loss, Tomlin drew further criticism for not publicly attacking George Pickens harder after Pittsburgh’s second-year wideout underperformed in several games last week against the Colts.
I received it.
Pickens explained that he didn’t block his teammate because he didn’t want to get hurt.
As for Tomlin’s future, don’t expect him or Steelers president Art Rooney II to discuss his future before the offseason.
