When Woods was an amateur, he did not automatically qualify for a major championship until the PGA Championship in 1996. 

He will probably need a special exemption to enter the 2024 US Open, as this has happened before. 

Nicklaus got eight extraordinary exclusions to the competition, while Arnold Palmer got five, as Sports Showed noted.

Woods completed eighteenth out of 20 players at the Legend World Test in the Bahamas from November 30 to December 3.
