Browns fans manage to make the Jets game about the Steelers
When the clock hits zero in tonight’s game against the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns supporters will have reason to celebrate: their club will earn a postseason place.
But the Browns’ greatest passion is obviously their hatred of the Pittsburgh Steelers, which was evident late in the third quarter when the crowd began chanting, “Pittsburgh sucks!”
Cleveland secures a postseason berth with the victory, marking the first time since the 2020 campaign. Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers will remember that postseason match; on January 10, 2021, Baker Mayfield passed for 263 yards and three touchdowns as the Steelers defeated Pittsburgh 48-37.
The Kansas City Chiefs eliminated the Browns the next week, and they would go on to represent the AFC in Super Bowl LV.
