Francis Ngannou answers claims he was “fortunate” against Tyson Rage

Ngannou put on a shocking show against Wrath in his boxing debut last October and he answered pundits demanding that he got “fortunate” on battle night

Francis Ngannou has promised to show his presentation against Tyson Wrath wasn’t an accident as he gets ready to confront Anthony Joshua.

Wrath was amazingly taken the distance by previous UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou in their hybrid battle a year ago. The Brit was supposed to journey past Ngannou and battle Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed belts two months later, yet he was dropped and just won by one in an examined choice.

Ngannou’s performance was quickly downplayed by fans, who insisted that Fury did not properly train for the fight and had an off-night. Ngannou has answered his faultfinders by tweeting: ” He lucked out last time. He will not have the option to shut out the commotion this time. He can’t repeat the experience, can he? We’ll see. Camp has begun.”

Joshua was supposed to confront Deontay More out of control in the wake of taking out Otto Wallin last month however their two-battle bargain was demolished when More stunning lost to Joseph Parker. Ngannou took More stunning’s spot and will presently confront Joshua on Walk 8 in Saudi Arabia to finish off Riyadh season. Ngannou explained why their fight will be different, despite Joshua’s recent victory impressing him.

“He looked astonishing, regard to him and congrats to him. He was going about his business appropriately, his speed was there and he was exceptionally sharp. Then again, I think there wasn’t a reaction before him. On The MMA Hour, Ngannou stated, “I think I will have a better response in front of him that will put him in uncomfortable positions and situations.”

“The situation will change and be unique. I won’t simply remain there and see him, it will be unique. I will toss a few bombs out there for him to think about. I believe he will be aware of what he’s doing. Because that was my first boxing match, no one still knows what I can do. Like everyone else, I’m just getting better. For a novice like me, there is a significant gap in development.”

Joshua needs to challenge either Wrath or Oleksandr Usyk for their undisputed heavyweight world titles assuming he beats Ngannou. The former UFC champion hopes to fight Fury again if he wins, but ‘AJ’ insists that their second fight must take place by October, which seems unlikely considering Fury’s two-fight contract with Usyk.
