The NFL took a major action with a season finisher game. The NFL announced on Saturday that the wild-card playoff matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills would be moved to Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET. The game was initially planned to start off on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Highmark Arena in Bison. New York Lead representative Kathy Hochul originally reported the news via web-based entertainment which Adam Schefter of ESPN later affirmed. The explanation the game was deferred is the colder time of year storm anticipated to influence Western New York consistently. 

According to a statement released by the NFL, “Due to public safety concerns in light of the ongoing weather emergency in western New York,” Sunday’s Steelers-Bills game has been moved to Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by CBS. “As the region prepares for the storm, the decision was made to move the game to Monday in consultation with the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers and in the best interest of public safety.”
