LeBron James says inquiries about Lakers roster ahead of trade deadline ‘not a question for me’

With just two days remaining until the NBA’s trade deadline, the Los Angeles Lakers are running out of time to improve their roster. 

The Lakers have floated around .500 for a large portion of the time, one year subsequent to coming toward the Western Gathering Finals against the Denver Pieces.

Following LA’s third consecutive win on Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets, LeBron James was found out if changes should have been made to the program, or whether he thinks the ongoing list is sufficient to seek a title. 

“It’s anything but an inquiry for me,” James expressed, as per ESPN. ” I love who we have in the storage space. Furthermore, that is all I stress over.”

James added: ” We will go out and set ourselves up each and every night regardless of what it is. Regardless of who’s out in this group. Regardless of anything.”

James, who has a player option for next season, took to X following the Lakers’ second consecutive loss and posted an hourglass emoji early Wednesday morning. There was speculation on social media last week that James could be traded as the Lakers continue to hover around.500. 

Rich Paul, James’ representative, shut down reports that his client could be exchanged in short order.

“LeBron will not be exchanged, and we aren’t requesting to be,” Paul expressed, as indicated by ESPN.

At 27-25, the Lakers are three games out of sixth place in the Western Conference and have a 1.5-game lead over the Utah Jazz. 

The Lakers will not be required to participate in the NBA’s Play-In Tournament if they are able to finish in the top six in the standings. 

The Lakers next face the Chunks, the guarding NBA champions, on Feb. 8, hours after the exchange cutoff time.
