Multiple reporters have speculated about Tomlin’s future
Another day and another report speculating on the future of Mike Tomlin with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaking during halftime of the wild card matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans, NBC’s Mike Florio noted that Tomlin is going to evaluate everything this offseason, have a talk with his family, and come to a decision on his future with the Steelers.
“I’m told he’s going to step back after this season ends, [and] make a decision about his future with his family,” Florio said. “He loves the team, he loves the young players there, but after the season, he’ll huddle with his family and make a decision about the Steelers.”
This is now the third report of Tomlin potentially stepping away from the Steelers. Adam Schefter made note of Tomlin potentially doing something similar to what Denver Broncos’ head coach Sean Payton did and take a year off.
Jay Glazer noted a few weeks ago that it will be Tomlin’s choice whether or not he returns to the Steelers.
The possibility that the Steelers could be in search of a new head coach seem to be very real.
