Tiger Woods confused when spotted with his two kids and their nanny in Miami amid custody rumors (video)
Tiger Woods has been spotted enjoying some sunshine with his two kids and a mystery brunette in Florida amid custody rumors.
The golfing legend keeping it casual in shorts, a t-shirt and sunglasses as he took a stroll down Miami streets.
He was joined by his nine-year-old daughter Sam and eight-year-old son Charlie Axel Woods, as well as their nanny.
It comes after Woods revealed on Twitter earlier this month that he had completed a ‘private intensive program’ to tackle his problem with prescription drugs following his infamous DUI arrest in June
Woods reportedly booked out the entire male inpatient unit at The Jupiter Medical Center in Florida for 28 days to seek help.
‘I recently completed an out of state private intensive program,’ Woods said in a statement on Twitter.
‘I will continue to tackle this going forward with my doctors, family and friends. I am so very thankful for all the support I’ve received.’
Recently, it appears that Woods has been taking some time away from it all with the kids, and yesterday was seen enjoying some father daughter time as he and Sam took their dog for a stroll around Miami at the weekend.
He had earlier docked his yacht before they soaked up the sunshine around the marina.
Sources had told Radar Online that the rehab stint was to help settle the concerns of his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, who he shares joint custody of his children with.
The pair have shared custody of their children – Sam and eight-year-old son Charlie – since their 2010 divorce but, according to the anonymous friend, part of their agreement was that Woods was to avoid any public scandal in order to keep his share.
If he breaks it, he could see his time with the children cut by 20 per cent – leaving them with Elin 70 per cent of the time and giving him just 30 per cent.
Woods’ high profile DUI arrest on May 29 prompted her to consider applying for full custody of the children, the source claimed.
According to the Radar Online source, Woods visited the rehab center with his children on June 2 and signed up for treatment just days later.
The former couple’s divorce came after a parade of women, including strippers and prostitutes, revealed themselves as mistresses of the then untouchable golf star.
Afterwards, Woods checked himself in to the Pine Grove Rehabilitation Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, for sex addiction treatment.
Later, he received treatment for Vicodin addiction at The Meadows in Arizona.
Woods was arrested by the side of the road on May 29 near his mansion in Jupiter and charged with driving under the influence.
He had taken a cocktail of prescription drugs when police found him asleep inside his damaged $220,000 Mercedes with the engine running.
The 41-year-old was then filmed swaying in the street and slurring his words as he tried to take part in field sobriety tests.
He was later taken to a Jupiter police station where he struggled to blow into a breathalyzer and fell asleep on a chair while he was being processed.
Though he had no alcohol in his system, Woods had taken Soloxex, Vicodin, Torix and Vioxx – four different prescription drugs. In a statement after his arrest, he said his sleepy state was an adverse reaction to them.
‘What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications,” Woods said in the statement. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.
‘I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions, I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved,’ he said.
He also apologized to his family and friends, adding: ‘I expect more from myself too.
‘I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.’
Woods is due to face court over the DUI charge on August 9.
He could qualify for a diversion program in which the DUI charge is downgraded to reckless driving, which results in probation, fine and other conditions such as taking a DUI course.
