Fans Protest WNBA After Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever’s First 11 Games

On Sunday, the Indiana Fever were defeated by the New York Liberty by a final score of 104-68. The Fever hold on to their fifth-place spot in the WNBA Eastern Conference despite the loss.

Caitlin Clark and the rest of her Fever team have gone through the league’s most difficult and tiring schedule to start the 2024 season. Since May 14, the day the season began, the Fever have played in 11 total games, by far the most of any team in the league during this timeframe. This schedule included two back-to-backs and a west coast road trip. Against the Liberty, Clark and her teammates looked absolutely worn down, and the upcoming four-day break they have is well needed.

Fans could tell how tired this Fever team looked on Sunday. After the game, they took to social media to protest the WNBA for the ridiculous schedule that was given to Clark and Indiana to begin the season.

really terrible schedule for the W, almost like they want the fever to lose every game (and get the number 1 pick again?)”

“The Fever schedule is unfair as hell no reason to have 2 back 2 backs already
