BOMBSHELL RESIGNATION STATEMENT Two World Cup of Darts stars branded ‘a (footage) disgrace’ and told to ignore each other off stage

Darts star Vincent van der Voort has called for Belgian duo Kim Huybrechts and Dimitri van den Bergh to put their differences aside when on stage at the World Cup of Darts.

The pair have a bitter history that peaked in last year’s competition when they openly avoided one another after cruising to a 4-0 victory over Finland, with their feud dominating headlines as a result.

He told AD.nl: “That (their actions) was a farce. That was a disgrace for the country and a disgrace for themselves.

Plenty has taken place since last year’s competition which has added fuel to the fire between the now-teammates, with Huybrechts filing a complaint against Mike de Decker following an altercation. Van den Bergh had lodged a complaint against Huybrechts previously as well.

But Van der Voort is hopeful that the issues will be overlooked by both players in the short-term. The 48-year-old continued: “Kim of course – after everything that has happened – is not going to say to Mike: you go. That’s beyond his honour.
