Dolphins coach rips reporter for writing about Tua Tagovailoa’s victory.”Who the F cares?” says the system.

The Miami Dolphins have started the season strong, especially quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, whose head coach Mike McDaniel responded to those who criticized the MVP candidate in a blunt manner.

The Miami Dolphins have a league-best 5-1 record so far in the 2023 NFL season thanks to an all-star offense, but star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has come under fire on multiple occasions.

The team has been among the best so far this season, winning five of their first six games.
The quarterback has been essential to maximizing the lightning-quick pace head coach Mike McDaniel has at his disposal.

With 1,876 passing yards and a league-high 14 passing touchdowns, Tagovailoa is the league leader in both categories.
For the past two seasons, he has flourished under McDaniel, but detractors contend that he is more a product of the system than a team-improver.

When asked if the style of play is solely accountable for his players’ accomplishments during his Wednesday media availability, second-year head coach McDaniel took issue with one too many questions on that topic.

McDaniel told the press, “I’m about to knock this podium over.”.
“Who the F cares?
is how I would respond to that because we are a team, we are working together, and I am aware of one thing: I have been a coach for a very long time.
To their credit, talent, and devotion to their craft, our guys perform tasks that I have never seen anyone else perform.
“.

With his rapid season debut, Tagovailoa is on pace to surpass the previous NFL single-season passing yardage record.
He would have thrown for 5,488 yards if he keeps going at this rate for the remaining 17 games of the season.

In 2013, Peyton Manning, a two-time Super Bowl champion, set a record of 5,477 yards while playing in just 16 games.
He would top that mark this year.
Tyreek Hill, a quick wide receiver, and some of his teammates are also having exceptional seasons.

Hill racked up 814 receiving yards in the team’s 42-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, making it the most in the first six games of a season in the Super Bowl era.
Hill has 2023 receiving yards overall.
With 11 touchdowns after scoring three more against the Panthers at Hard Rock Stadium, running back Raheem Mostert now leads the league.

McDaniel continued by praising his team as a whole for their performance this season thus far and emphasizing that there isn’t just one player being the focus.
As a team, we are all reliant on one another, he continued.
“Since those guys are an integral part of who we are, I’m not in any rush to prove myself without them.

Saying it’s this person or that person is somewhat oblique.
A team and individuals are cooperating in this endeavor.
In that way, we’re all related.
That’s why, in my opinion, many of the guys have succeeded, including Tyreek, Waddle, Raheem, and Tua.

We are traveling on this journey together. The Dolphins will try to keep up their excellent recent form this weekend.
But on Sunday, they will face a difficult test when they go to Lincoln Financial Field to play the Philadelphia Eagles in the wee hours of October 23.
