SEC Commissioner Calls Deion Sanders’ Use of the Transfer Portal at Colorado “Troubling”.

Greg Sankey, the commissioner of the SEC, commented on the beginning of Deion Sanders’ tenure at Colorado after the Buffaloes’ thrilling victory over TCU in the season opener, which included several new players.

As a result of Sanders’ extensive use of the transfer portal, Colorado began the season with 86 new players, and Rich Eisen asked Sankey what he thought of that.

With transfer quarterback Joe Burrow starting for LSU in 2019, the team won the national championship. Stetson Bennett, on the other hand, left Georgia and later returned back to school there.

Bennett’s only accomplishment was to guide the Bulldogs to consecutive national titles.

It’s likely that LSU and Georgia were happy that they took advantage of the transfer portals before winning national championships.

The Colorado roster turnover makes Sanders a divisive figure right now, but the immediate results are difficult to dispute. The Buffaloes are ranked nationally in 2023 and have already won one game in their season.

Colorado’s future is as bright as it has been for years, even though Sankey finds the way they got there “troubling.”.
