JUST-IN: Cleveland browns release unexpected news on Deshaun Watson ahead of Sunday game against colts
Deshaun Watson, the Browns’ backup quarterback, is anticipated to get the start against Indianapolis on Sunday.
After missing two games because of a shoulder injury, Browns QB Deshaun Watson is anticipated to start on Sunday against Indianapolis.
Following two games missed due to a right shoulder injury, Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, is anticipated to start against Indianapolis on Sunday.
Watson last participated in a game in September.
When he was tackled on a running play against Tennessee on December 24, he suffered a rotator cuff injury.
On October 5, he was absent from Cleveland’s game.
After the Browns’ bye week, he missed games No. 1 against Baltimore and No. 2 against San Francisco.
Although Watson looked good in Friday’s practice, coach Kevin Stefanski said he wouldn’t guarantee that he would start and that Cleveland would regain its No. one quarterback.
Stefanski stated that he wants to monitor Watson’s shoulder’s progress over the following 48 hours.
Watson is rated as possibly questionable by the team.
Without Watson, who against the Titans had his best overall game since joining Cleveland, the Browns (3-2) split their games.
On Thursday, Watson, 28, participated in practice for the first time in almost three weeks.
Watson is 5-4 as a starter for Cleveland.
During the 30-minute portion of the workout that was open to the media, he appeared hesitant while throwing.
Watson worked out indoors with the Browns on Friday while wearing a compression sleeve on his right arm and a stabilizing brace on his shoulder.
In preparation for the Colts (3-3) Watson threw with more velocity than the day before and received the majority of first-team reps.
