Cam Bynum issues plea as wife is stuck in Philippines due to visa issues

“If anyone can help with the visa process I would really appreciate it.”

Shortly after the poacher was caught Monday night, Vikings safety Kam Bynum asked for help with his wife’s visa issue.

“My wife is working in the Philippines on a visa and they keep getting turned down,” Bynum told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
“If anyone can help with the visa process I would really appreciate it.”

In a statement posted on social media, Bynum said his wife will not be able to come to the United States until her spousal visa is approved.
“We expect him to go two football seasons without playing.
So far we’ve been denied tourist visas twice,” Bynum said.

Bynum is of Filipino descent through her mother and runs a charity that supports her family in the Philippines.
“Let’s get his wife here.
Let’s get him here,” Bynum’s teammate Harrison Smith said on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.
“He will only be here for a few months.
He will return to the Philippines after the season,” he said.

Bynum threw two interceptions against 49ers QB Brock Purdy in the Vikings’ 22-17 victory Monday night.
The 25-year-old safety has the fourth-highest defensive grade among safeties this season, according to Pro Football Focus.

A fourth-round pick of the Vikings in the 2020 draft, Bynum became a full-time starter in 2022 and was one of the best players this season.
