Bruins’ Jakub Laukos reveals the terrible effects of Skate To Face

Jakub Lauko was all smiles after a scary incident occurred during Friday’s game between the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Bruins forward left after skating in the third period of Tuesday’s win.
Lauko was trying to throw the puck behind the Blackhawks net when Jarred Tinordi dropped it. The 23-year-old tried to get up, but the blade of Jason Dickinson’s skate caught his left eye.
On Thursday, Lauko posted a photo of Gothmog from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King to illustrate his feelings. But the Bruins’ second-year forward talked about the real-life experience of getting a skate knife in the eye on Friday.
“My modeling career is in jeopardy,” Lauko wrote on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter.
“But let’s just say I was very lucky.”

To say I’m “very happy” is an understatement.
Photos of her scars and stitches show the skate blade was inches from her eye.

Fortunately, Lauko is smiling now.
But the Bruins called up Jesper Boqvist on Thursday to man the No. 4 spot with Patrick Brown in place of the injured Milan Lucic.
Boston coach Jim Montgomery told reporters Thursday that Lauco will be out at least a week.
