The F1 teams demand that the FIA reopen its Max Verstappen investigation.

After several rival teams voiced their displeasure with the stewards, Max Verstappen might be subject to punishment from the FIA.

Ahead of this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix, it has been reported that several Formula 1 teams asked the FIA to justify some of its recent decisions at the Singapore Grand Prix last weekend.

Teams have requested that the FIA “reopen, and the verdicts explained” incidents from last weekend at the Marina Bay Circuit, according to Auto Motor und Sport.

The three incidents involving Max Verstappen, who miraculously avoided receiving a penalty, seem to have generated the most controversy.

Following his qualifying performance in Singapore, the FIA opened an investigation into Verstappen into three separate incidents involving impeding.

Prior to his final hot lap in Q1, the defending world champion left his garage and, inexplicably, came to a complete stop at the end of the pit lane.
This was the first incident.

Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, and Charles Leclerc all came to a complete stop as a result of this.

Verstappen, a two-time World Champion, claimed, in an argument with Red Bull, that he was attempting to give those in front a slight advantage so he could get ready for his lap.

In fact, it happened just before he was about to begin his final hot lap.
The second incident also happened in Q1.

Verstappen was a part of a traffic jam that had developed in the last sector and involved several vehicles.

When Logan Sargeant was finishing up his final Q1 push lap, he had to suddenly dart out of the way as he had begun to cruise on the racing line.

Verstappen escaped both of those incidents without being warned, but his final incident resulted in a reprimand being given to him.

Toward the end of Q2, the 25-year-old blatantly impeded Yuki Tsunoda, causing the Japanese driver to leave his lap.

Verstappen was oddly not given the three-place grid penalty that comparable incidents in the past had earned him.

Instead of receiving a grid drop for the championship leader, Red Bull was fined €5000 for poor communication, leaving several teams inquiring as to why.

Red Bull has won 29 of the 34 completed races since the new aerodynamic regulations were introduced, which will be a major setback for Max Verstappen.
