AC Milan injury update on Theo Hernandez and Maignan
Theo Hernandez and Maignan missing France training raises concerns for Milan.
Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan missed training amid reports of fitness concerns, raising more worries for Milan in the France camp.
They were already alarmed when Olivier Giroud left last night’s EURO 2024 qualifier against the Republic of Ireland with a limp after 25 minutes.
Despite tests finding no significant damage to his left ankle, the seasoned striker was still ruled out of the upcoming friendly match against Germany and will be flown home early for treatment with Milan.
The news that goalkeeper Maignan and fullback Theo Hernandez did not participate in practice, however, has caused additional anxiety today.
Theo Hernandez reportedly suffered a minor injury to his calf muscle, according to RMC Sport.
Maignan worked in the recovery area while undergoing physiotherapy as a result of ongoing muscular problems in recent months.
The rest of the France team only engaged in very light training due to the extreme heat.
On September 16, Milan will play Inter in a battle for first place in Serie A.
