In reality, neither Love nor the Packers understood the situation.
Week 1 saw Green Bay defeat the Bears, 38-20, to make a huge statement.

Love performed admirably in his first game as Green Bay’s new starting quarterback. not at all.
His final completion percentage was 15 of 27 for 245 yards.
In a tantalizing debut that would have even made Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers proud, he also racked up three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

As the Pakcers have now defeated their rivals nine times in a row, Love’s fingerprints are all over this significant victory.
