A HUGE update for the F1 weekend is announced by the British Grand Prix.
Stormzy will be the headlining act for the four-day festival that will return to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix weekend of 2024.
Musical acts will once again perform at the main stage housed within Silverstone’s contemporary infield layout beginning on Thursday and concluding after the race on Sunday.
The Black Eyed Peas, Tom Grennan, Calvin Harris, DJ Jax Jones, and DJ Jax Jones all gave performances over the course of the weekend for the 2023 Formula One Grand Prix in front of a sold-out British audience.
According to NME, the 2024 festival “will see Silverstone take its new-look music and arts offering to the next level – cementing the British Grand Prix as a summer highlight on both the British sporting and music calendar.”.
Silverstone will feature Stormzy as the headliner.
Pete Tong and Rudimental will perform on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, at Silverstone, following Stormzy’s performance on Friday, July 5, according to the announcement.
In the upcoming weeks, the acts for Thursday’s opening concert will be made public.
At Silverstone, Stormzy has participated in the past.
He had the chance to wave the checkered flag as Lewis Hamilton won the 2019 British Grand Prix.
The commercial director at Silverstone, Nick Read, expressed his pride in having such a gifted artist participate in the race weekend.
Our long-term goal has always been to make Silverstone a destination that draws the biggest and best performers from around the globe to perform for the British fans, he said.
It’s a privilege to reveal Stormzy, Pete Tong, and Rudimental as the opening acts for the 2024 British Grand Prix.
“We knew we had a huge job on our hands following the great success of this year’s music offering, so we are thrilled to be able to take things up another notch – with more huge global acts still to be announced!”.
