Tyreek Hill Was Hit With A $7k Fine For An Interesting Decision In The Dolphins’ rout Of The Broncos In Week 3.
Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, has received word from the NFL that he will face consequences for something he did during the Miami Dolphins’ humiliation of the Denver Broncos in Week 3. Beating a dead horse?
Making a team look bad?
No, according to The Athletic’s X (previously Twitter) account, Hill received a $7k fine for what we all did at some point in college: starting his day without socks on.
Hill destroyed the Broncos’ defense in the Dolphins’ 70-20 rout while sitting out most of the fourth quarter with the win already secured.
With nine catches for 157 yards and a touchdown, the speedster had a productive day.
But he made the cardinal sin of disobeying the NFL’s extremely strict uniform regulations.
The NFL’s Game Operations Manual is very specific: “Stockings must be white from the top of the shoe to midcalf and an approved team color from midcalf to the bottom of the pant leg, which must be pulled down below the knee.
“.

Hill could be seen with absolutely no stockings on.
Clearly, it had no impact on how well he performed.
The NFL, however, takes these infractions seriously, so Hill is aware that his wallet will suffer as a result of his decision.
In fact, it’s a little surprising that Hill was able to play the entire Dolphins game without having to sock up.
After all, AJ Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles participated in Monday Night Football the same week that Hill was playing without socks by donning cleats that were against NFL regulations.
To follow the rules, Brown was forced to switch his cleats midway through the game.
It appears that Tyreek Hill has pulled another quick one on the football world.
