In front of a Netflix camera, PGA Tour star received the harshest Ryder Cup rejection possible.

Ryder Cup hopeful Keegan Bradley had a Netflix camera in his face filming for the upcoming season of Full Swing as he waited by the phone for Team USA captain Zach Johnson to call.

Keegan Bradley, a two-time Ryder Cup competitor, revealed that a Netflix camera caught his expression when he learned he wouldn’t be participating in this year’s matches in Italy at the end of September.

Bradley had a successful season on the PGA Tour despite not being a part of the American team since 2012 and 2014. The 39-year-old won the Zozo Championship in Japan last fall, and this summer he added another victory to his resume by winning the Travelers Championship.

He placed eleventh overall in the American Ryder Cup points standings, significantly ahead of Sam Burns, Rickie Fowler, and Justin Thomas.
Cameron Young, who was in ninth place in the standings, and Team USA captain Johnson chose to go with that trio.

Bradley, however, had Netflix cameras inside his house recording the crucial moment for the second season of Full Swing.
The 2011 PGA Championship champion discussed the incident in the most recent Foreplay podcast episode.

“I got a text from Zach: ‘Hey guys, I’m going to be calling everybody tomorrow morning.
Oh sh*t, I’ve got another night to sweat this out.

My awakening.
I’m exhausted when Netflix calls and says, “Keegan, we have a camera crew just five minutes from your house.”.

For the first time, I allowed my mind to believe that I had succeeded.
Why, for example, would they send a camera crew rushing to my home?

“And as soon as I picked up the phone, it said, “Hey, Keegan. You know, one of those, and I look over at Jill [his wife] a second into the call and say, like, “no.”.

“You’re going to see this.
Real life exists here.
It was a devastating call that no one had ever seen before.

When speaking to the Golf Channel about his rejection, Bradley expressed a similar sentiment.
He remembered, “I could tell that I wasn’t on the team by the response from Zach when I answered the phone.

“I’m super bummed out.
I thought I put together a really good year with two wins.
But I’m rooting for the United States.
