Max Verstappen’s life has been made easier, and Sergio Perez acknowledges that Red Bull needs to change.

Red Bull’s continued development of their vehicle, according to Sergio Perez, has forced him to step outside of his comfort zone yet again, forcing him to modify his driving style.

This year, Mexican teammate Max Verstappen has once again been the underdog. The defending champion is on a record-breaking streak of 10 race victories in a row and is cruising unopposed toward his third consecutive Formula 1 championship.

After the first four races of the season, it didn’t seem like the Dutchman would have it so easy.

However, a bad run of form, especially in qualifying, derailed his early title challenge.
He is currently resigned to competing to finish best of the rest behind Verstappen in every race, like everyone else.

Perez has made many mistakes throughout his career, but his worst moment was when he crashed during Monaco qualifying, ending his chances of earning points that weekend.
But he also believes that the RB19 car his team developed has made his life more difficult.

“I think every driver gets some upgrades to the car through their careers or through each season, and some adapt to your driving style more easily than others,” he said.
Sometimes you can add a component and immediately go faster.
